The Fond du Lac School District proudly announces that Stacy Cappozzo has been named the Wisconsin Health and Physical Education (WHPE) Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. This prestigious award honors educators who have made significant contributions to the field of health and physical education.
Stacy has exemplified excellence through her leadership in providing a comprehensive physical education program incorporating the Essential Components of Physical Education. She has shown commendable dedication to her students and the broader school community by actively volunteering and contributing to professional associations.
The award recognizes educators with exceptional merit in at least three areas, including innovative teaching practices, publications, presentations, research or special projects. Stacy’s commitment to student assessments and fostering a positive, healthy environment for learning has set her apart as a leader in her field.
As the beloved physical education teacher at Pier Elementary School, Stacy has been shaping the health and wellness of our Fond du Lac School District students since the 2004-05 school year. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and grateful for the passion she brings to our school community every day.
