Student responses to the statement: 'I believe my teachers recognize me for good work.' – 2023–24: 3,778 participants, mean rating 3.70, 61.62% agreed or strongly agreed – 2024–25: 3,490 participants, mean rating 3.90, 69.88% agreed or strongly agreed Participation decreased by 288. The mean rating increased by 0.20, and agreement rose by 8.26% over one year.

Student responses to the statement: 'I regularly receive feedback from my teachers about my academic progress.' – 2023–24: 3,778 participants, mean rating 3.67, 61.53% agreed or strongly agreed – 2024–25: 3,490 participants, mean rating 3.91, 71.00% agreed or strongly agreed Participation decreased by 288. The mean rating increased by 0.24, and agreement rose by 9.47% over one year.

The mean rating rose by 0.47, and agreement increased by 18.71% over four years.

"Employee responses to the statement: 'I have a clear understanding of the mission and goals of my organization.' – 2021–22: 659 participants, mean rating 3.60, 63.02% agreed or strongly agreed – 2022–23: 564 participants, mean rating 3.96, 77.32% agreed or strongly agreed – 2023–24: 688 participants, mean rating 4.16, 86.37% agreed or strongly agreed – 2024–25: 755 participants, mean rating 4.19, 83.98% agreed or strongly agreed Participation increased by 96 from the previous year. We are excited to announce Mike Blaskowski's appointment as the new Director of Facility Services and Safety. Mr. Blaskowski currently serves as an assistant principal at Sabish Middle School and will succeed Nate Groves, who has been named Chief Academic Officer for the 2025-26 school year. Mr. Blaskowski has an extensive education and community service background. “Mr. Blaskowski’s strong leadership and diverse experience make him a natural fit for this role,” said Matt Steinbarth, Chief Academic Officer and incoming Superintendent. “We are confident that he will build on the department’s strengths and continue to ensure safe, well-managed learning environments for all.”

The overall experience rating increased from 3.90 in 2022–23 to 4.00 in 2023–24, and to 4.12 in 2024–25 — a total increase of 0.22 over three years. Survey participation also grew from 614 in 2022–23 to 950 in 2023–24, and to 1,208 in 2024–25 — a total increase of 594. All 15 survey questions showed improvement compared to the previous year.

Meet Darwin, an endlessly curious first-grader at Riverside Elementary School with big dreams of becoming a scientist. “I would like to be a scientist because there are so many other things to do and learn about the world,” Darwin says. “They can make gadgets, they can discover, and they can even find fossils by being an archeologist.” Even in first grade, Darwin is already building the skills he will need to accomplish his dream.
