Students in the ACE Academy at Fond du Lac High School had an incredible hands-on learning experience during Wrightway Home Improvement Week.
Co-owner Jon Pitzen dedicated five days to instructing students in key construction skills, including:
💦Aluminum Brake - Flashing/Drip Edge
🏠 Soffit Layout and Install
🛠️Fascia Layout, Cut and Install
⚙️Building Shelves and a Workbench in the donated Job Trailer from AGC
🧑🏻🏫 Career Planning - Setting goals and making a plan for the future
A huge thank you to Jon Piten and Ralph Guling (10 hours donated) for contributing a total of 45 hours of contract expertise to support student learning. These real-world experiences help prepare our students for success in the skilled trades.

Meet Darwin, an endlessly curious first-grader at Riverside Elementary School with big dreams of becoming a scientist.
“I would like to be a scientist because there are so many other things to do and learn about the world,” Darwin says. “They can make gadgets, they can discover, and they can even find fossils by being an archeologist.”
Even in first grade, Darwin is already building the skills he will need to accomplish his dream. His teacher has taught his class about setting goals, and Darwin’s main goal is to improve his listening skills.
“To be a scientist, I need to listen very well, so I know what is happening and what is going on,” says Darwin.
Your future scientist is learning at Fondy!
