On Friday, Rosenow students presented their annual Everyday Heroes program, an outstanding tribute.
Today, we all join them to remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedom.
Let’s reflect on their service and express our gratitude.

Fond du Lac High School students participated in Project G.R.I.L.L. (Growing Readiness in Learning and Leading), an area program since 2008 by Envision Greater Fond du Lac, which offers high school students a project-based learning experience that highlights careers in manufacturing.
Students take an idea from concept to a fully functional grill over the school year, with guidance from technical education teachers and manufacturing partners. They also participate in a Parade of Manufacturers, touring eight manufacturing businesses and Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) to explore career and education opportunities.
Manufacturing and MPTC representatives visit schools to review progress, offer advice, and provide coaching, helping students make informed career choices. Today, May 17, 2024 was the Unveiling Event, where students showcase their grills and compete for awards, including two academic scholarships.

The Fond du Lac School District (FDLSD) recently hosted a collaborative tree planting event, supported by Assistant Chief Jim Knowles of the Fond du Lac Fire Department. With his personal passion for trees, Knowles helped students from the Boys and Girls Club at Roberts and Pier elementary schools plant trees on their campuses. Additionally, with the help of the district's facility services department, a memorial tree was replanted at Roberts Elementary for a local family after the original tree was lost to natural causes. We thank everyone involved in these lasting contributions to our community.
