THE FOND DU LAC SCHOOL DISTRICT IS CHANGING OUTCOMES
The Fond du Lac School District is proud to announce a significant improvement in the most recent Department of Public Instruction (DPI) State Report Card. Our District was ranked 375 out of 421 school districts and in the bottom 11% of all school districts in the state at the conclusion of the 2020-21 school year. After three years of increased accountability and cascading support to our schools, we are seeing tremendous results. The 2023-24 Report Card has our District now ranked 205 out of 421 school districts. This transformation is due to the incredible work throughout the district in developing systems to improve student outcomes.
We have made remarkable improvements at Chegwin Elementary, Parkside Elementary, and the high school. In 2020-21, according to DPI reports, Chegwin failed to meet expectations and Parkside and the high school met few expectations. In 2023-24, both Chegwin and Parkside exceeded expectations and the high school met expectations. We are proud of the teachers and staff and their work to earn these results.
The transformation of our District has not come easily. Our teachers and staff have embraced bold change to make a positive impact on learning and growth for each and every student. The renewed focus on students brought outstanding results. Below is a summary of the State Report Card scores and ratings for 2020-21 and 2023-24.
As we look to the future, the Fond du Lac School District remains committed to continuing this momentum, ensuring all students are provided the resources and support they need to thrive.
Respectfully,
Dr. Jeff Fleig
Superintendent
